Departments allow you to organize employees into structured teams within each branch, such as HR, IT, Sales, Finance, Operations, or Support. Proper department setup helps streamline reporting, shift allocation, and role-based management inside Teamiy.
Each department must be linked to a specific branch, ensuring accurate employee grouping and operational control.
Navigate to:
Company Management → Departments

Click "Add Department."

Fill in the required details:
Select Branch
Choose the branch where this department will operate.
Department Name
Enter the name of the department (e.g., HR, Sales, Marketing).
Department Head
Select the department head from the employee list.
Note: The employee must be added to the system before assigning them as department head.
Status
Set the department as active or inactive, depending on its operational status.
Click Create Department to save.

Once completed, the department will be successfully added and linked to the selected branch.
After creating departments, you can:
Edit department details if changes are needed
Update or change the department head.
Activate or deactivate departments
Assign employees to the appropriate department
Manage shifts and reporting department-wise
For editing, changing the status of the departments, or deleting the existing departments, go to Company Management -> Departments in your Teamiy dashboard. Select the department you want to update and save the changes after the updates.

Proper department setup ensures better employee organization, clearer reporting structures, and more efficient shift management within each branch.
